MISSION RESEARCH CENTER: History and Development
The idea for a mission research center grew out of a project for the Winema Week of Missions.
This week of missions seeks to further the cause of New Testament Christianity through cross-cultural missions by:
- Informing participants about current mission work
- Equipping participants through mission education and training
- Challenging participants to cross-cultural service and spiritual growth
Providing opportunities for participants to contribute and minister to missionaries ...
in order to increase personal involvement in making disciples for Christ around the world and in our communities.
While preparing for the State of the World Christian Movement scheduled for 2010, it was felt that
a much wider scope was necessary in order to educate, inspire, inform and encourage participants at the Winema Week of Missions
and beyond who might not be able to participate in this great mission gathering.
This website is a deliberate attempt to extend the reach of the Week of Missions.
Many errors, duplicates, and overlaps exist and the data is continually being updated.
We are not original researchers, but seek to consolidate the most current research from a wide range of sources into one
easy to use website. A list of major sources that we have used in this project can be found under the section labeled Resources.
MISSION RESEARCH CENTER: Constituency and Partners
It is our goal that the information contained on this website will be useful to mission agencies, missionaries, churches,
mission mobilizers, students of missiology and global Christians.
In addition to the Winema Week of Missions we are also working with the following
affiliated mission groups. Additional affiliations are welcomed.
